Players are usually permitted to use whatever equipment (racers/badges/flying pets) they want to set records for tier tracking. Of course, players not in clubs or those that don't want to or can't take tier tests can self-identify regardless. Tracking Records - This is typically more used for club applications, but less active clubs may allow players to self-identify their tier based on track records acquired at any point in time.(Varies between clubs) No Fairytale Diz.No special racer (racers with no special stats only this means that you can only select from Dao/Diz/Bazzi/Uni/Ethen/Marid/Lodumani/Chen/Keffy/Mos).Team Speed Mode (so you can utilize blue nitros this emulates the standard club match setting, which allows more leeway with nitro management but also presents the issue of nitro locking). The rules for tier tests are usually as follows: Tier Tests - Players are to select tracks from a limited pool as determined by the club representative administering the test, and are given a limited number of attempts per track to reach a certain tier time in a live setting. To determine what tier a player is in (assuming that they are high enough skill level to reach the tiering system in the first place), there are two primary systems that clubs use (can be one or the other, or both):

While you can talk about tiers outside of a club context, they are largely determined through a club and whatever methods they use. As you can see, while those titles are considered as the more difficult content in the game, they fall under a pretty low tier relative to what sorts of top records can be expected from the tracks.

* Note that the bolded times for each track are a reference for what getting their associated track title (2 Fast 4 U/Veteran Astro-Driver/Zone 5 Expert) would land your time under in terms of the tier.

The club I am in has its own track tier times because I am not completely sure if the club staff are comfortable with me sharing that information, I will just use a few tracks as an example reference for what we have: Track From my understanding, there is no such thing as an official track tier time sheet these tiers may vary slightly from club to club, and they may also want to keep the determined tier times a secret from people outside of the club. Anything below Tier 4 is pretty much considered dropping back into the lower levels of categorization, such that "Below T4" usually means L1 license.įor each "speed mode" track (usually determined to be tracks that can be encountered in Genius/Legend rank in speed ranked mode, although definitions may vary slightly from club to club), they have a set of times for each of the tiers if a player can reach a certain tier time, then they are considered that tier for that track.

In this system, Pro Tier is considered the highest (which may be further categorized into Tier Pro and Tier Pro+, but I think that's largely for competition at the absolute highest levels and is mostly relegated for the Chinese and Korean servers), while Tier 4 is considered the lowest. While there is no mention of this system in the game, tiers are a widely accepted concept in the KartRider community, which helps in grouping similar skilled players for the purposes of competitive matches amongst each other.

Just like there is a categorization of skill in the "lower" levels in the form of official licenses, there is also a categorization of skill in the "upper" levels, this time in the form of unofficial tiers.
